Redskins Name Wachenheim Tight Ends Coach
The Washington Redskins named Scott Wachenheim tight ends coach on Thursday.
Wachenheim replaces Rennie Simmons, who retired after the 2008 season.
"Scott is an experienced coach, who has been successful in the collegiate ranks," Redskins head coach Jim Zorn said. "He is a great communicator and an excellent teacher and has a strong desire to win. He will be an outstanding addition to the Redskins."
The 46-year-old Wachenheim comes to Washington with more than 20 years experience at the college level and served the last three years as Liberty University's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
