Oakland Raiders Fans Can Vote for Darren McFadden to Appear on Madden 2012 Cover
This year, EA Sports has decided to pick the cover for Madden 2012 in a way it’s never been done before by allowing football fans the chance to vote for which player they want to see. One candidate for this year’s cover–Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden.
ESPN’s SportsNation is hosting a 32-player tournament consisting of five rounds in which fans can vote for their favorite players to appear on the Madden cover next season. One player is represented from each team in the tournament and McFadden was selected as the representative for the Raiders.
After two disappointing seasons, McFadden finally had a breakout season for the Raiders in 2010–finishing with 1,664 yards from the line of scrimmage to go along with 10 touchdowns. He enters the Madden 2012 Cover Vote as a No. 16 seed and will face San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers in the first round. Raiders fans have until March 27 to help McFadden advance to the second round and can vote for him by checking out the bracket here.
